Compared to life coaches, licensed professional counselors have Masters Degrees in counseling
which involves six years of college, 2 years of full-time post Master's Clinical work and supervision, state sanctioned testing for licensure and required continuing education. To become a life coach, there is no college education required no state licensure and they can solicit clients within weeks of putting their shingle out.
If you're looking for the very best life coach, hire a counselor (the original life coach).
